Asma Jilani Jahangir is a renowned human rights activist known for her work, both in Pakistan over many years and also internationally, to prevent the persecution of religious minorities, women, and exploitation of children. She is a leading Pakistani lawyer and former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan.
Janhangir has earned a variety of international awards, including the American Bar Association International Human Rights Award and the Millennium Peace Prize.
