In this interview, Hameed Haroon outlines many of the problems and challenges Pakistan faces today. Hameed is CEO of Dawn newspaper group and president of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society. He has been an outspoken advocate for the freedom of the press and writes widely on arts, culture and history in Pakistan.

Hameed was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan’s highest civil award in 2004 in recognition for his contribution to promote art and culture.
