The Fakhra Kahn story

Having migrated to Britain from Pakistan in 1973, Fakhra Kahn talks to her daughter, Sarah Myers Kahn, a student from Luton Sixth Form College who has now moved on to do video and television production, about the development of culture and economy in Bury Park over the years. Fakhra relives her experiences through sign language.

This film has come out of a series of workshops with RSA Pakistan calling, that students from Luton Sixth Form College attended, organised by Shazia Ali Webber at the Rich Mix Centre.

With thanks to Rich Mix Cultural Foundation, and students and staff at Luton Sixth Form College.
